In fall of 2020 Learfield IMG partnered with EA to host their first collegiate championship series. The inaugural Madden championship event, an 8 week collegiate championship series dubbed the Level Next Fall Champion Series: Madden NFL 21. Over 150 individual intra-collegiate qualifying tournaments were hosted for the nearly 1,000 students who registered to compete to represent their university in conference play. The top 16 players across the 8 different conferences would then go on to compete for their share of a $150,000 prize pool. Following the success of the Fall 20’ Madden series, LIMG hosted the Spring 21’ Rocket League collegiate championship with Psyonix, boasting a $125,000 prize pool. The Level Next Rocket League Spring Showcase grew in player registrants from the previous fall series, and 1,300+ registered participants competed over a 4 week season.
